Why I think about Drinking all the time

I’m not a Doctor but have been thinking about drinking more than most.

I lost both my Grandfathers to alcohol related disease. One had his leg amputated before a massive heartache took him. They were both alcoholics and I believe their drinking got worse after the war.

I have empathy for them but I saw the damage they inflicted on my parents and their other children.

I was heading for a similar track until 2016 when I found myself living in London without a job and still drinking five nights a week.

There were other times when I was drinking heavily and could feel sharp pains in my organs, but it didn’t stop me most time.

But this time something clicked.

I had to change something so I invented a system called 101 Tokens.

Rather than 5 nights a week I gave myself just under 2.
I could drink as little or as much as I wanted.

But the catch was, every time I drank I had to sit the next morning and write down if it was worth it or not (Yay or Nay).

I had a $3 Winnie the Pooh calendar.
